"Kiku… when will you come back?" you asked to yourself. It's been five years since he left for the war. You don't even know if he's still alive.
Five years before…
"(Name), I really must go." He said sadly
"No! Kiku you can't!" you said, tears running down your face.
"We've already talked about this before."
"I don't care how many times we've talked about it! I don't want you to leave!" shouting at him, you stood up and headed straight at the door.
As you were about to open it, a pair of strong arms caught your waist and pulled you into a hug.
"I don't want to go… but I have to… it's for my country… and I want to protect you…" Kiku whispered in your ear. You felt something wet hit your neck. Yes, Kiku was crying. It's rare for him to cry and you're the only person whom he can cry openly.
"I love you so much, I want to protect you…" he said as he kissed the pulse on your neck. You turned around and wiped the tear on his cheek,
"Oh Kiku…" you placed your arms around his torso and cried. Patting your head, he tilted your chin so you were now facing him. He kissed your lips ever so gently.
"(Name), become one with me?"
"Yes."
-.-
"If I don't return after a year, move on." Kiku whispered in your ear, hugging you closely.
"I can't do that. I'll never do that." you whispered back. Parting from the hug, he gave you a kiss which you savoured, thinking it might be the last the two of you will share.
"Take care Kiku." You said as you tried to force a smile, fighting back your tears.
"I will." He said giving you a sad smile.
-.-
"Five years… it's been so long Kiku…" deciding to take a stroll in your garden, you sat up and flattened the wrinkles on your kimono. In your garden, you saw the Sakura tree already in its full bloom. You picked a petal that fell from the ground and smelled it.
"Sakura always remind me of you Kiku…" you stared at the petal sadly. Continuing with your walk, you heard a familiar voice call your name.
"(Name)"
Your eyes widened in shock. You thought that you've dreaming of hearing the voice you wanted to hear for so long. Turning around, you saw him.
"Kiku…"
"I'm home." He spread his arms, inviting you to an embrace. You rushed towards him and tackled him to the ground.
"I missed you so much Kiku! I thought you wouldn't come back…" you whispered in his ear.
"I told you before I left that I will come back, and here I am." Looking up, you saw his smiling face.
"I love you (Name). Be my wife?" he said as he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.
"Yes Kiku. I love you too."
And your lips soon touched one another.

ChinaxReader: A Thousand More
Wang Yao tilted his head to gaze at the cloudy grey skies of Beijing. It was another day that held absolutely no meaning, because you weren't there to share it with him. "Name, why'd you have to die?" His cracked lips moved inaudibly, letting a single tear seep out of the corner of his chocolate brown eyes and fall onto his dark green army uniform. "Everyday is so hard to live without you with me, even though my country is prospering." Yao let out a small sob as he sank to his knees, shoulders shaking from grief. "I'll always wait for you, I promise. Wǒ ài nǐ, Name. Forever."
Little did Yao know that up in heaven, somebody wa

The wooden floorboards creaked as you walked out of your room, and walking to the front door, having heard sounds from there.
Sure enough when you looked out, you saw Yao packing up his stuff.
"You really have to go don't you?" you asked, more of a statement than a question.
He looked up in surprise, finally relaxing as he saw that it was only you.
"I don't have a choice (Name). My country needs me aru." he replied.
Walking up to him, you gave him a big hug, tears starting to form.
"I'll miss you."

::You're not Invisible to Me"
You were always the type to speak your mind, and demand others' attention when you needed it. You never had any problem making yourself known, it came naturally.
Sadly, not everyone in the world can have this characteristic. Your best friend Matthew Williams, was just the oppisite of view. He was 'invisible' to just about everyone but you.
Even when people did acknowledge his presence, they mistook him for his onboxious brother Alfred, and beat poor Matthew up.
You did your best to make people recognize Matthew, you got mad when anyone didn't. You knew that one day, people were going to se
